Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine have been around for over 5000 years. Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine treat a myriad of conditions from neck and back pain to organ problems.

At our office in Santa Monica, we offer acupuncture and Chinese medicine, mainly addressing our most common complaints but not limited to neck, back, and shoulder pain.

My story with Acupuncture began in Argentina when I was a child. My father was a 3-pack-a-day smoker and my mother had heard that "this acupuncturist" could help. She made an appointment for my father who did not have any interest in quitting smoking, but went to satisfy my mother.  After his first session he got in his car, put a cigarette in his mouth and lit it. That's when something happened.  His body immediately rejected the cigarette taste and smell. Half way home he did it again, and the same thing happened.

My father went from smoking 60 cigarettes per day to nothing after his first acupuncture session. If you ask the man who did his acupuncture he'd tell you that his Qi (CHI) was reset or changed. All my father knew is that it worked, and being so impressed, he took me in to get treated for sinus issues which were not helped by traditional antibiotics at the time. It also helped me.

I've been on and off received acupuncture along with chiropractic adjustments for years now. My health has remained relatively well, aside from the minor sport injuries from surfing and such that I do.

Recently, an old shoulder surfing injury flared up a lot so I asked Ramona Colbert, our acupuncturist to give me a treatment. Again I was so impressed with the results. I got up from the table and my pain had decrease by about 80%.

I continue to receive regular treatments to balance my Qi, and it's amazing to see how every winter so many people come down with colds, and my body is able to fight them.

If you are looking for an acupuncturist in Santa Monica, don't hesitate to call our office at 310-993-8482. Always try conservative care first.
